Keeping it close to home this time, my first cover feature for @cambsedition , going behind the scenes of three of our regionâs arts powerhouses â the @adctheatre , @artstheatrecambridge and @saffronhallsw .
Everyone from Miriam Margoyles, Naomie Harris and Emma Corrin have trodden the ADCâs boards while Fry & Laurie, Mitchell & Webb and Mel & Sue all cut their comedy cloth here as part of Cambridge Footlights. The all star quality continues with the Arts Theatre, which burst onto the scene in the 1930s with a gala featuring ballet icon Margot Fonteyn â and has since been championed by many notable thespians including Sir Ian McKellen. Lastly, Saffron Hall has attracted more than 30,000 prestigious musicians to perform there with its extraordinary shape-shifting acoustics, boasting the @londonphilharmonicorchestra as its resident orchestra.
