Test roll shot on an Olympus XA, a beautiful little pocket film camera and a beautiful little time capsule from the last month or so. Surf checks, gardening, family connections, yoga on the balcony, celebrating friends homes, big yarns, a few slices of Melbourne and some home grown broc. Living is good. Processing by @bayou_film

We wrapped our shoot on the Greenland Icecap and we had the gift of good weather for our lay day before departure from Kangerlussuaq. I heard from a local there was a crashed jet around 9km from town, that’s been there since the 60’s. Joel (our Finnish masters student) and I headed for a tramp through the tundra. A beautiful and richly diverse landscape, the colour and range of Arctic flowers was incredible. We knew there were Musk Ox in the area and had seen some from the helicopter on the way home from camp. Over each hill we convinced ourselves we’d see them, and only at the very end of the furthest point did we sight a little family. These guys are hunted for food and sport, so assuming they would be quite skittish I guided us out of sight from around 1km away, slowly creeping up while they grazed. We had the wind against us and we crested the last bit of terrain to stop around 50m from them. They were already alert and I had enough time to shoot a few stills, enjoy a few moments admiring them without the camera, before the bull rushed them away, not stopping until they were around 2km away from us. We finished up with an Arctic swim in the alpine lakes after almost 1000m vert and an 18k stroll. One to remember ✨

Coming home from a travel shoot is always an adjustment, a pace change, a reflection and a time to breathe again. It’s the nicest little joy I’ve discovered to drop the bag and have a wonder around the yard, taking in the changes in the garden, the angle of the sun, eat an orange off the tree, build a fire, play some vinyl and spend some time with my absolute darling. I appreciate it more and more and more ❤️

Coming home from anywhere back to the Northern Rivers is always a warm hug for the soul, but this time felt particularly special after a few weeks in Ghana and Rwanda. It was my second morning back today, and I took the new mavic 4 drone for a test flight before surfing. Little did I know, I’d witness something I’ve never filmed before, humpbacks surfing swell 🤯 There’s a southerly pulse that’s currently pushing up past us and I saw a number of groups moving with great grace and power, with one whale out pacing me at over 30km/hr on the swell. Over 30 minutes I saw 15 whales on the move. Remarkable little start to the day and a reminder of how incredible our own backyard is ❤️ @djiglobal #mavic4 #australia #humpback

We picked up this old girl a month ago in Amsterdam, and she’s taken us up to Nottingham to see the wonderful @bhacker , to Wales for waves with @katie_mayhew_camera , we survived Wildscreen conference in Bristol in her and now have made it to the Sth of France, for what really feels like the beginning of the trip. No more meetings, deadlines or anywhere to be, except chasing waves, baguettes and solitude. A wonderful adjustment, a project, and most importantly, the best kind of quality time with my love @lily_brand . We hope to go along way with these wheels, but ultimately, she’ll have her say if she makes it far or not!

@chrisdillenbeck and I seem to find ourselves out for that extra lap more often then not when we ski together, and more often then not it’s a really special time. @lebent_ @canonaus

We returned again to my favourite little red hut, a few fresh faces from far away, conditional conditions, first descents, skin left behind and smiles carried over long after the trip. A few more core memories with a beautiful lot of people ❤️ 2024 attendees: @xander_ @chrisdillenbeck @keelsurfsupply @hayden.griffith @rowtrouncer Despite tearing through my new @lebent_ base layers after a slippery dip down the ice, grateful to be able to tramp around in the best socks and layers in existence ❄️
