Finn brought this story to me while filming Godspeed. I didn’t know much about jazz music and even less about Chet Baker. I didn’t know how to connect to the character for a long time. I eventually found my way in and I’m SO proud of what me and the team put together.
This is a story about expectations and the burden of genius.

About a full week into post on this project. It’s insane how fast 5 months of pre, and a week and a half of production flew by.
Somewhere along the line we all collectively stopped calling this a short film and unironically referred to it as the movie that we were making. That’s the level of craft we put into this.
It’s the project and the experience that I’ve been chasing since I started.
I cannot believe how many people bought in and went flat out right alongside me. Godspeed is better than I could have ever made by myself. 🐑
