On Tuesdays We Testify: Nicholas “Saint Nick” Katz
“A great collaborator lifts everyone around them. They create a safe space where you can comfortably share ideas and help you go beyond your comfort zone. Odum embodies that, and pairs it with a blend of technique, creativity, passion, and the meticulous attention to detail that every project deserves.”
There are so many things that I could say about Nick - I am so thankful to have a friend and fellow
@humbermusic buddy who is kind, gracious, generous and amazing at what he does.
We met in the dimly lit corridors and cramped practice rooms of Humber Lakeshore over a decade ago, trying to survive music theory and final recitals together. But through that, it was apparent that Nick had something different, and a desire to create engaging productions/recordings. From working on Elevate Youth Choir’s (
@yycmusicawards winning!) album together, to launching Queen Vanilla
@karajoyy herself, to co-producing the
@ambrose_university Residence hit Tell Me Something together, Nick’s friendship and support turned me into a producer who thinks critically and creatively, and is able to express that dynamically (in Ableton Live, no less!). I wouldn’t be where I am today without the influence of people like Nick in my life. Thank you for everything, Nick - we’ll always have Songwriting class with Brad Klump.
Interested in working with me? I’ve collected some kind words from people over the years, and on Tuesdays, we testify! I hope it helps you in your considerations!
