The main reasons I rarely take orders on dresses is because of how Nigerians undervalue crochet wears
I’m a honest person and will tell you the price exactly as it is.
And even break them down for you.
Crochet is not something to be priced because it takes so much time and energy (not to talk of expenses of the yarn)
Something a lot of those who crochet can relate to.
This is why I no longer received orders
Imagine pricing a 64k dress to 22k? let’s even ignore the countless hours, constant crochet and back bending, not forgetting the mistakes! When a mistake is made in crochet you can’t just cut that part away you will have to loose it all to correct only a tiny mistake but it must be perfect because it’s what you pay for. All this included and it’s still not enough for the yarn itself. Usually handmade crochet is valued like diamonds but here we are.
You will get what you want in crochet
It can never be what you ordered vs what you get because it’s crochet it is meant to fit you specifically.
So why not settle for it’s worth
There should be awareness on these things
But that’s my cup of tea
We all have our opinions
I will be making two dresses for two Individuals this year with the best terms and I can’t wait to see your ideas and how I bring them to reality 🤭
