Pride Week 2026 is taking shape.
For more than 35 years, Calgary Pride has brought communities together to celebrate visibility, creativity, and belonging. In 2026, Pride Week expands into a citywide celebration of queer arts, community, and collaboration.
This year, Pride Week will unfold through a series of program threads connecting events, performances, community gatherings, and celebrations across Calgary, all leading to the Calgary Pride Parade.
Artists, community organizations, and partners across the city are helping shape Pride Week together, creating a celebration that reflects the diversity and creativity of Calgary’s 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.

Calgary Pride is re-launching a research and engagement initiative that's exploring how 2SLGBTQI+ Calgarians—especially those of diverse intersecting marginalized identities—experience safety, trust, and inclusion in spaces where police are present.
This project is a continuation of our previous Town Halls, community surveys, and consultations - which led to new policies banning uniformed police from participating in the Pride Parade since 2019 - and will continue to shape policy recommendations for the City of Calgary.
This project is funded by Women & Gender Equality Canada @wage_fegc and is in research partnership with The Fyrefly Institute for Gender and Sexual Diversity @fyrefly.insitute .

For many people in our community, privacy is safety.
Listen as one of our board members speaks about the unauthorized distribution of Alberta’s voter list and the very real risks this breach creates for vulnerable communities, including 2SLGBTQIA+ Albertans.
For many people, privacy is safety. This is about trust, accountability, and ensuring every Albertan can participate in democracy without fear that their personal information could be weaponized against them.
Calgary Pride, alongside community organizations across Alberta, is calling for transparency, accountability, and stronger protections to prevent breaches like this from happening again. ✊🌈

Calgary Pride’s Letter to Elections Alberta Regarding the Unauthorized Distribution of Alberta’s Voter List
Calgary Pride and community organizations across Alberta are deeply concerned by the unauthorized distribution of Alberta’s voter list by the Centurion Project.
This breach exposed the personal information of more than 2.9 million Albertans and poses serious safety risks for vulnerable communities, including 2SLGBTQIA+ Albertans.
We are calling for:
• Full transparency and accountability
• Recognition of the heightened risks faced by marginalized communities
• Stronger protections to prevent future breaches
For many in our community, privacy is safety. Once this information is shared, it cannot be fully recovered.
Calgary Pride will continue advocating for the safety, dignity, and protection of our community and all Albertans impacted by this breach.

Calgary Pride needs to hear from you.
Typically, we ask for feedback following the summer in order to allow the answers to dictate how we plan activities during the off-season. 2026 is heading in new direction so we want to hear from you now while planning is underway.
This survey is intentionally vague to allow you to answer with as much or as little details as you're comfortable sharing with us. The purpose is to hear from marginalized and under-represented groups in our community in order to ensure we are showing off the entire spectrum of 2SLGBTQIA+ experience in Calgary.
We exist in intersections and identity is unique to each person, encompassing many facets including but not limited to:
Orientation
Gender
Sex
Expression
Race
Ethnicity
Ability
Religion
Calgary Pride strives to offer ways for people to find each other and connect through a mutual goal of inclusivity and belonging.
This survey will be shared with the following people:
Calgary Pride Management Team
Calgary Pride Board of Directors
Black Pride YYC
Rang de Pride
Colores del Alma
If you have questions or concerns about any of the questions in the survey or the recipients, please email [email protected].
Thank you, again, for sharing your voice. This survey will remain open until June 15, 2026.
