Lifeblood is a photobook series in celebration of a bygone era of gay bars in Pittsburgh. In collaboration with QBurgh, a contemporary digital queer magazine, Lifeblood brings new form to a recently recovered archive of photographs from OUT Magazine taken in Pittsburgh's gay bars between the 1960's and mid-2000's. The form and organizational system of the photobooks explore how archive as an action can be a tool to access traditionally undocumented histories.
