I’ve had an incredible journey of working in social work & in the mental health field since I was fresh out of high school. I wanted to share with you my journey up to today:
After high school, I changed my mind about going to school for music & immediately entered school for Early Childhood Education, set on becoming an English teacher for children. During my schooling, I worked in the public school system, and I realized the need for children with disabilities. It bothered me that they weren’t receiving the help they needed.
Shortly after, I moved to Alabama & entered seminary. In that experience, I realized how much I genuinely think discipleship & pastoral care is ESSENTIAL for everyone.
On my return, I worked at a day clinic with children & became a MHPP. This sealed my desire to pursue working in the mental health field.
Over the years that followed, I worked in pediatrics operations, case management for young adults with disabilities, pastoral care, educational behavior management and mental health coaching for over 1000 people.
I have gained YEARS of experience and learned numerous lessons in my field. I am so grateful for my mentors that have poured into me & allowed me the opportunities to grow into the confident mental health professional I am today.
Because of these past years and the classes I have taken, I am a certified Life & Mental Health Coach, specializing in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). And what that essentially means is this - If you feel STUCK in any are of life as my client...we will work together to get you UNSTUCK.
After having worked as a Behavioral Specialist in a school setting for the past year or so while maintaining a growing personal client base on the side, I can finally make a dream a reality by going FULL-TIME.
I have coached men, women and children. From CEOs to students, pastors, actors, professional athletes, single people, married people, parents, teenagers, families, neurodivergent individuals, etc... My one goal? To see Jesus in His people again by uprooting all the junk.

It’s an honor & a privilege to stand on platforms with people I love to lift up the name of Jesus. And it’s never been more fun than in this season.
That being said, I could live the rest of my life, never having held a microphone again. I don’t need it & I don’t even honestly want it. I’m much more comfortable being off the platform, actually. Obedience to the voice of the Lord is the most important thing to me in my life, though.
I love Jesus. I love music. I love singing. I love helping others through the revelations I’ve walked through in my own life. Telling the story of my own redemption is healing & helpful to others, so I love that.
But I don’t need to have a platform or a microphone or title for anyone else in order to survive.
If those things are needed in order for me to function, I would absolutely 100% question where my identity is being rooted.
It’s pretty liberating to understand where your passion lies & why, but also understand that the value of what you can bring through the avenue of your passions is not the sum of who you are.
Because if that’s true, who are you when nobody else is around? Who are you when you lay your head on your pillow at the end of the day?
Passion & calling may express the magnitude of purpose, but they were never the cornerstone of your value.
If we make them the cornerstone, then we face plant when we feel we’ve not done enough to prove our value. That’s called performance-based mentality & it has no place in the Gospel.
So, yes. Go be great. Obey God’s voice. Express every strength He’s placed within. But know WHY. And know your value is not the sum of what you can do.
