LXLW 2026 was a huge success thanks to milord and milady @hard_t and @levskis . It takes a lot of skill, patience, and bravery to roast a whole Lamb in a Eastside backyard 🐑
This is the best group project I've ever been a part of. Swipe to the end for a very VERY special treat

The most important part of any place is the people. Here are just a few of the people, Brazilian and foreign, that have made the past 10+ weeks in Rio special (and swipe to the end for a special treat 😉).
I love the Brazilian social environment, although it took some time to understand. The openness is striking, and I miss it when I'm not here. Strangers often act like old friends, even if it's only for the moment. Of course, deep friendships still take time, and the cultural expectation to be charming, sociable, and carefree can make the honest vulnerability that builds relationships harder.
Living here for over 6 months in the past 3 years has taught me to ease up and hold things less tightly, among many other lessons. Brazilians face chaos and struggle with humor and patience. “A vida não é morango” (life is not a strawberry). They reminded me to connect more openly and with less guardedness, to stop worrying about perfection, to enjoy what is right in front of me.
Brazil is not perfect, but its people make it what it is. At their best, they are warm, kind, ambitious, talented, vibrant, funny, and open. At their worst... Que isso! Vocês sabem que eu nunca falaria nada de mau dos meus queridos ❤️
This country gave me so much. It's changed my DNA, and it's an awfully hard place to leave. Thankfully, they keep letting me back in. Thanks for everything, and see y'all next year!
Minas Gerais is a hot contender for best state in Brazil. The competition is fierce out here. They definitely win the friendliest folks and best food awards. #minasgerais
