My favorite band ever @therejects released their first album in 14 years!! I was literally still in high school when the last one came out.
After years of slowed output, the band would still pop up here and there with some shows, an EP, or a glimpse of a new song every once in a while. I think a lot of us were still holding out hope that someday we’d finally get another full album. Then over the past year everything just exploded in the best way possible. Seeing the band trend and go viral again has honestly been such a whirlwind. I’m sure you’ve seen clips of them playing random backyard shows for like $5 or even free. Hard to imagine the band that was HUGE in the 2000s somehow feels bigger than ever right now.
I’m not gonna go on and on because if you’ve known me for years you already know how much I love this band, but getting to watch all of this happen has been really special.
