Do you find yourself missing Snatches out in front? This happens when you push off the floor then hinge out of position at the knee.
Instead, push off the floor and continue to push even as the bar passes your knees. Fight to stay over the bar, and as you rise, it should feel like the bar comes up into your hips, and through your torso “bisecting the torso” at this point. Finish the snatch with a strong punch.

190kg (419lbs) Power Clean & Split Jerk
Could barely do this for a full C&J on Monday after all the heavy lifting Friday and I’d say this was like a 4/10 on the effort meter. The ups and downs are crazy right now with all the intensity in play. Trying to be smart and make good decisions. Keeping training flexible and relying on years of training is what’s helping me find success right now. One more big session left! #BESOMEBODY

Easiest 220kg (485lbs) Clean and Jerk of my life. Couldn’t believe the speed in the video. Felt some really technical footwork in the Jerk as well. Just trying to execute on these and not let the weight be a factor. #BESOMEBODY

225kg (496lbs) Clean and Jerk
Another lifetime PR from training yesterday. Really never done Clean and Jerks at these weights with this kind of speed. Historically I’m having too much trouble holding positions to do this clean without losing a good posture and good foot placement trying to save the clean. Hard to describe how it feels stepping up to these weights now, but there’s no fear of pain really or doubt it’s possible. The only doubt comes from wondering if I can execute good movement despite lifting a weight I’ve never tried. The whole process actually presents new challenges that I’m enjoying working through and I have to say training has been pretty fun! #BESOMEBODY
One of the ways I have been assessing what’s possible is utilizing my @wurq.inc wearable to track bar speeds. It’s almost like a proof of concept for what’s possible without having to think about the weight as a variable. At this point of my training I’m leveraging it less now because I’m focusing on feel and preparing for the meet but it was a pretty awesome tool through my transmutation phase. Just trying to cover all my bases!

Another PR at 187kg (412lbs) and still haven’t really missed anything under 180kg. Hadn’t PR’d since 2017 before this adventure with @enhanced_games and we’re just getting started. #BESOMEBODY
Also @dozer.wl has been phenomenal to Train with. It’s nice having another set of eyes and another brain in the gym working through all this. Training has been awesome!!!
