HOW TO SHARE A CAKE? 🍰❤️🔥
A workshop tryout
Facilitated by doğa
TUESDAY, SEPT 9TH, 17h-18h30

A collaboration between

🍰 The session begins with a simple story about Winnie-the-Pooh and friends deciding how to share a cake in the forest. A real cake will then be placed in front of the group to divide among themselves, prompting conversation on justice, fairness, equality, generosity, and perspective-taking. doğa will facilitate the discussion, drawing on both historical philosophical debates and contemporary viewpoints. At the end of the session, we will share and eat the cake together, grounding on our philosophical exploration.
🍰 We will approach the theme of justice utilizing some discussion facilitation tools from P4C (Philosophy for Children/Communities). Developed by Matthew Lipman, P4C is a pedagogical method that leaves philosophical questions open-ended, encouraging participants to think more deeply and collaboratively. If needed doğa can provide more info what P4C is. The facilitators role is to create the discussion trajectory through the story(stimulu) before the discussion and listening to, mirroring or paraphrasing the participants thoughts carefully during the discussion.
🍰 This is a workshop under construction! So it will have loose and evolving structure. Beyond discussing justice, doğa will be observing how the conversation itself unfolds with real time participants in current atmosphere. So any feedback will be very much welcomed!
--> Who I am recently (doğa): I am a multidisciplinary artist, cook, and facilitator based in Helsinki. With a background in philosophy and fine arts, I work on projects that weave together food, socially engaged art, and participatory dialogue. Her practice often invites people to gather, share, and think together — whether around a table, in a workshop, or through playful, thought-provoking performances.
This workshop is aimed to be a part of a series of workshops called Tender Tables which will be released in collaboration with Circus Maximus.
