In greek mythology Calliope is the muse of epic poetry and eloquence. In my world she was this epic ball of fur people thought I named after having been born in California.
Making a home with three college kids and a deaf cat her epic began. We spent $60 to take her home which I’m sure to us at the time felt like $500. There was never a plant she didn’t want to eat and in fact despite me explaining how manifesting works together we went through several money trees. Famous for her loathing of flying as one of my most embarrassing flight partners when her meds wore off and she peed half way from Florida to Jersey. Living with so many of our wonderful friends who over her lifetime became our family. Truly a tiny terrorist to all other cats until she met her best mate, Bandit. She made the bad days tolerable and the best days even better. Tho not initially a snuggle cat as she reached old age her snuggles were her whole personality and you could find her walking through your legs, basking in the sun and laying on your feet to keep them warm. Always known as being a spicy gal she was a familiar who watched over us for 16 years that felt like 10 lifetimes. Before we said goodbye for now I did ask her to haunt me so please trust when you come over she’s still here.
Cali boo bear you in fact were not a small bear but a beautiful soul who I know will be with us all of our days.

Bandito my little frito.
A cat who had absolutely no boundaries or sense of personal space. Who threw his food on the floor before eating and inhaled treats like a vacuum. An ultimate greeter for everyone and anyone who walked in the door always being the favorite with friends and pet sitters sending us endless photos of you wanting to snuggle with them after just meeting. The snuggliest cat to ever walk the earth while missing a few toes on one paw. How lucky we were that you stole our hearts from your shelter glamour photo before we even met followed by you producing us in the shelter greeting room by smashing your head into our legs repeatedly trying to snuggle. You took such good care of our hearts and always knew when we needed you most. Our home will never be the same. ❤️

To the man the world says doesn’t exist. I found you and count my lucky stars everyday.
It’s hard to believe a year ago we dragged everyone in our circle to our own slice of heaven. It was a whirlwind of so much endless love that we still feel as strong as tho it was yesterday. It’s truly a beautiful life we have created. One year in cheers to us and all the lifetimes we share. ✨

The two weeks leading up to it. Our incredible family and friends who went above, beyond and abroad for us. The amount of love poured into every inch of this experience was everything I dreamed of. To see everyone in our inner circle come together and instantly connect, laugh and create memories is going to make me teary eyed for years to come.
I’ll never have to look back and wonder if I have love in my life. This event showed us that we have been surrounded by the best our whole lives.
