For this private residence, Caio Xerri-Alves @caioxerrialves of BLAK Interiors @blak_interiors translated Emirati cultural symbols, the pomegranate, ghaf tree, and date palm, into material, light, and atmosphere rather than ornament. Burgundy stone, walnut, filtered daylight, and living greenery shape a home designed for calm, where a dedicated wellness suite quietly supports the rhythms of daily life.

Never underestimate the power of a well-designed interior or, more broadly, architecture. This past New Year's Eve, I got together with a group of very good friends and we unintentionally booked a real gem on AirBnB.
The house was designed by the talented Marcia Barbieri of @arte arquitetura_, and we were all amazed from the moment we walked in on how this 2 bedroom house was carefully placed on this hill, overlooking Lagoa da Conceicao, on the island of Florianopolis, Santa Catarina - Brazil.
This space was so well designed that it drew our group in, and we spent most of our time indoors, admiring the view, sipping gin and tonics, discussing ideas, and getting excited to enter 2023 in such high spirits.
The moral of this long post is that by entrusting your project to a professional designer or architect, you ensure that your home/investment property/business is exactly that. A magnet for humans to feel connected to space, and for their minds to explode with ideas and big dreams for the future!
