Weeks posts
Community care is not abstract. It looks like: - Someone making sure you have enough food this week - Someone helping you carry groceries - Someone saving you a spot at the table. It also looks like people pooling resources so places like CAIN can keep operating. THe Hunger Walk is one way we do that together. If you want part of this: *Give financially if you're able *Share or take food if you need it from the Free Fridge *Shop at the Market when you need * Volunteer with us * Or share this post /CAIN45223

Food sovereignty means having real choice in what you eat. That matters. Because it's not just about calories. It's about language, culture, and being able to choose food that actually fits your life. The Market is set up so people can make those choices themselves. That's what dignity looks like in practice. There are a lot of ways to show up: - Give financially if you're able - Share or take food from the free fridge - Shop at the Market when you need - Volunteer with us - Or share this post /CAIN45223

One month until the Hunger Walk. There's no version of what we're going through where everything is fine and people don't need support. What we DO have is each other. At Annette's House, that looks like: -Community meals -Space to gather -Sharing resources and skills in real time Over 5,000 meals were shared last year at Annette's Cafe alone. Not Charity. Not Transactions. Just people sharing food and making sure no one's left out. If you want to be a part of this: - Give financially if you are able to - Share or take food from the Free Fridge - Shop at the market when you need - Volunteer with us - or share this post. /CAIN45223 #HungerWalk #CommunitySupport #FoodJustice #FoodForAll #EndingHunger #TogetherWeCan

We're living through a lot right now. And people are still showing up for each other anyway. At CAIN, that looks like neighbors choosing their own groceries, sharing what they have, and making sure folks leave with what actually works for their lives. Last year, over 15,000 visits happened at the Market with almost half from people coming for the first time. That's not a system working. That is a community responding. If you want to be part of this: - Give financially if you're able - Share or take food from the Free Fridge - Shop at the Market when you need - Volunteer with us - Or share this post Join or support our team for the 2026 HungerWalk here: /CAIN45223 #HungerWalk2026 #SupportCommunity #EndHunger

Being early isn't about being first. It's about opening the door. When a few people step in, it makes it easier for others to see how they can be part of it too. If you've been waiting for a sign: THIS IS IT! /CAIN45223 This works better when we start now. #HungerWalk2026 #CAINCincy #OpenTheDoor #CommunitySupport #MakeADifference

The Market. Annette's House. The Free Fridge. None of it runs on last minute energy. IT works because people show up consistently, a little at a time, over and over. The Hunger Walk is one way people do that. Join the team. Chip in if you can. Share it if that's what you've got. /CAIN45223 #CommunitySupport #HungerWalk2026 #ConsistentGiving #LocalImpact #JoinTheTeam #TogetherWeCan #EndHunger

Have you been thinking, “I’ll get to it later.” We’re trying something different this year - Starting now. Because this kind of thing doesn’t build all at once. It builds early. A few people step in, and it makes space for others to do the same. If you’ve been meaning to join, donate, or share this… this is a good time. /CAIN45223 #Hungerwalk2026 #CommunitySupport #GetInvolved #MakeADifference #SupportYourLocalFoodBank

Here's what $1 does : About 10 meals. Here's what $0 does : Nothing changes. No pressure, just facts. The Hunger Walk supports the kind of work that usually does overlooked, the everyday, unglamourous, necessary stuff that keeps people fed and connected. If you've been watching this week and thinking "I should probably do something..." This is that moment. Join the team, donate, or share: /team/810016

A quick reality check: Food access doesn't happen by accident. It happens because people decide it matters and then do something about it. At CAIN, that looks like: 👉 A choice-based Market 👉 community meals 👉 a Free Fridge stocked by neighbors 👉 skillshares and mutual aid at Annette's House No heroes, no saviors —just people standing strong for each other. The Hunger Walk is one way we fund and fuel these impactful efforts. If you’ve been thinking about getting involved or contributing, consider this your nudge to jump in! 👉 Ready to make a difference? Fundraising for the Hunger Walk starts today! If you've ever shopped at the Market, grabbed a meal at Annette's House, used the Free Fridge, or just believe people should eat, this is one way to show up. Last year alone: 15,755 Market Visits 820,000+ pounds of food distributed 2,611 households supported This isn't about charity. It's about neighbors making sure we all have what we need. Join the team or chip in if you can: /team/810016 And if money is not your thing right now, please share. That counts too.
