11 years of Kona Rue ♥️ Happy birthday to the best dog.
In the last year, she developed and underwent a couple surgeries to remove some {hashtag} old lady lumps, that all turned out to be benign (Thank God), but of course it didn’t slow her down from wanting to tear apart some toys and play endless rounds of fetch with a tennis ball. Swipe for one of our first pictures together. 💕
London, you were a gift.
What an absolute pleasure to be able to tell the Opry’s story for its first international show.
From getting to spend 3.5 days in Abbey Road Studios, to experiencing the magic and the most amazing crowd I’ve ever seen at Royal Albert Hall. It was all truly incredible.
Many thanks to all the artist teams for their participation, and the team helping me on the ground and across the pond!
I hope that I was able to emulate the energy and excitement through the Opry’s social channels, and forever thankful to be a part of the history.
P.s. I don’t think I’ve ever taken so many steps in my life. Pedicure donations greatly appreciated 😉
I’ll never be over it, thanks for asking!!
When I first started working for the Opry, I only dreamed to transform the social channels into what they are today, and that took a lot of building, patience, and teamwork. Happy #Opry100. We’re just getting started.
🔟 years of Kona Rue. My soul dog. My best friend. My best girl.
I’m likely more obsessed with my dog than a normal person, but she is truly the best companion, gives the best snuggles, and makes me laugh almost daily.
In her 10th year, there’s no signs of her slowing down! A tennis ball is still her vice. You have to make her take a break.
She will not let you forget her routine that includes a morning and nighttime greenie. Now that we’ve moved, she likes to go on walks (if you know her, this is huge). In fact, we’re back to the 7am wake up calls.
She loves a good butt pat. She loves when you scratch her all over. She’ll push her paw against you to make you keep going. If you full stop, she’ll get down and outwardly sigh.
To know Kona is to love her. She loves people and is still relatively indifferent to other dogs, but she’ll say hello then be on her way.
My best friend. Happy birthday.
