The Promenade Blouse is one of those sleeper designs. It doesn’t make a lot of fuss, it’s simple, and it has been selling constantly since it came out in 2022. It actually had the best sales record at the end of last year and so far this year it’s still going strong. It kind of blew me away at first.
But then I thought about it, and I had to laugh at myself a little. Because I reach for it all the time too.
The quiet ones, the ones that don’t try too hard, those are usually the ones that stick around. The Promenade Blouse is proof of that.

There’s something quietly heartbreaking about losing a tree you loved but never owned. My neighbor just cut down the beautiful tree that stood in front of their house, one I’d admired for years. I’ll admit it also happened to block their view straight into our living room, which is a detail that complicates the grief somewhat. But a little less privacy is a small price to pay for missing something that made the street feel alive. I’ll miss that tree. I can find comfort in my knitting at least. This cardigan is almost done.
