An experiment with cyanotype printing on unframed cotton canvas using negatives printed from my digital illustration 'Service'.
Excited to continue refining this process!
Live painting performed during several poetry readings. The theme is movement. Acrylic on canvas.
Challenges & rewards:
Accept unfinished as complete // Understand impact is valued over perfection (art as activism) // Create under strict time constraints // Connect with people, hear their perspectives
Movement.
Migration.
Immigration.
Expatriation.
Whether forced, coerced or chosen,
Explore the levels of assimilation to survive and
Necessary adaptions in order to fill gaps
in Industries, markets, communities.
Permanently disconnected, regardless of mobility.
A foot in two lands, a stranger in both.
A pried open mouth
can still be used
but can’t necessarily
advocate for itself.
The @thirdanglepoets hosted their first Triangle Poetry Festival at @boxyardrtp .
Late last year I was introduced to this immaculate team, and brought on to help realize the vision & brand for the newly formed collective of margin movers.
What you’re looking at:
Handpainted banners of the final logo (would make this my entire vocation if I could) // ”MOVEMENT”, a live painting performed during the Poet meet&greet, following the festival theme, (I tied in immigration and expatriatism) // A second, overnight piece “The Broadleaf Arrowhead”, an apt symbol for Third Angle Poets & creatives alike // @a.w.ords hosted a Tea Ceremony, commemorating fallen poets, and celebrating the spreading of wildflowers // The Collective! The tribe, the clan, the family ❤️
So honoured to work alongside such positive forces in this world
Thank you for the warm embrace ❤️

Poetry moves you. Words that spark a fire and changes us out from under it — we can’t help but share the change with you.
Allow Third Angle to reintroduce ourselves. New logo drop by @caialco , our resident visual artist, reflects the story we’re writing with you — the unsung voices, the like-hearted advocates, the movers in the margins.
A diverse typeface, a firebrand-orange palette, a subversive slant, and nature-inspired nods to our North Carolina roots, our vision of putting poetry in action takes shape — just in time for Triangle Poetry Festival.
We are Third Angle Poets. Move with us on March 20-21 @boxyardrtp via the ticket link in our bio.

Introducing Ms. Sierra
All my bags are unique and so, they are all named
And yes, they are all female:
Weighed down by the products of sexist capitalism, neatly containing miscellanies of generational traumas, internalizing the emotional dispositions of hordes, holding it all together, etc etc.
Inspired by the ocean and name originating from the Latin word Serra (saw), implying jagged teeth, like a chain of hills or mountain range
DM for orders hehe ✌️🤪
