Sharing a huge thank you to Michael and the @sgvhabitat for showing us their inspiring work and for rebuilding the #Altadena community, one incredible firewise home at a time.
Truly inspiring to see these folks in action, their vision come to life, and to experience one initiative underway to start to turn the page on a devastating and tragic chapter.
And another example of #Californians coming together to lift each other up while preparing for #wildfire.

Honored to attend an insightful and action-packed day at the 2026 California Tribal Nations Summit.
Coming off a great week in #Portland at the International @masstimberconference , where a contingent of #California wood loving professionals shared what’s possible and what’s on the way in the Golden State.
From public-private partnerships, to fostering beautiful engineering and design, to finding creative ways to use wood from wildfire resilience projects, it was a week of new ideas and setting the tone. Hint: our Joint Institute for Wood Products Innovation is bringing folks together and driving forward.
Stay tuned. #caforestry
We *can* do bold new things to improve the health of our #forests and landscapes while keeping communities safe.
And Heartwood #Biomass is showing us how. This week they shared what’s possible for new markets, public-private partnerships, and a commitment to getting things done.
The Board now has a new member, officially!
We are proud to welcome @sierrapacificindustries forester Joe King to the @caforestryandfire Board.

Mass timber continues to show up in big ways across the state—and nation. And more and more people and projects are discovering why it’s the way to go.
Just this week, we saw yet another example in the City of West Sacramento school district’s Elkhorn Village Campus. A beautiful modernization project that blends natural design with carbon storage and adds to the list of what’s possible for building with #masstimber.
