Hi! After many years of deciding when/how/if I should, I'm finally opening up to providing this work outside out close family and friends. If interested send a DM or email at [email protected]. đź’“
As a Black queer trans artist, I think often of what it means to be free, when the world around me is pushing back on my existence, when there is so much to grieve. When we still fight to exist and survive.
Juneteenth Jamz is more than just a show and more than a performing arts festival. It is a love letter. An ode to the magic of Black queer people. It is a labor of love, of homecoming, of community, a refuge, where you know what it feels like to belong.
The best feedback I've gotten about this whole weekend is how much joy people felt in these spaces, that "this is what shows should feel like". We deserve to be able to take up space without suffering first, without it benefitting people who don't prioritize our safety, our well being, our joy.
Thank you for everything, for every performer, every volunteer, everyone who reminded me that this joy is sacred. For letting us share this with and coming together to create this beautiful experience. It is an honor to share this space with you❤️✨
This is the start of change.

Hey hey yall! Happy end of BHM! Now that the rush is over looks to fill my books through may! I'll traveling to the west coast and would love any recommendations in March and April! Let me know who to send my media kit to.
I'll be back in Detroit and available after April 19th, and willing and eager to travel. Thank you!
HEY HEY!
After a much needed break to grieve with my family back home, I'm back and ready to hit the ground running.
Its BLACK HISTORY MONTH! SWIPE to see some photos from the last few Juneteenth Jamz! With everything going on in the world right now, supporting each other is more important than ever. Juneteenth Jamz has been a space for Black Queer Creatives for the last 5 years. In a city as Black as Detroit, we deserve more spaces and opportunities to see ourselves not only represented, but celebrated and taken care of.
Would love to have support for helping fundraising for this year's festival. https://gofund.me/a95bd14d8
As the sole producer of Juneteenth Jamz for the last couple of years, I've always tried to ensure that artists are compensated and housed, with a good portion coming out of my own pocket.
This year, I'm hoping to extend this to a 2 day event, and open up applications, which will require a lot more funding.
So, if we can reach a preliminary goal of 2000 in donations or sponsorship before the end of Black history month, I can open up applications for performers and get a 2 day event going.
Thank you for your time and consideration, and stay tuned for a few more announcements.

2025 was a year of transition, reflection, and unearthing. Of geting grounded in what matters and moving away from spaces and people that dont see me or hold the values that are need for the world we're coming to try and create. Clearing out the clutter to make space for it all.
For 2026, clearing out
-performative actions without real change
-fighting to take up space
-fear of putting myself out there
-second guessing
-exploitative behavior like underpayment or tokenism
Call in
-safe and healthy spaces for Black and Brown folks
-fully funded spaces and events for Black art to be celebrated in Detroit, by us, for us.
-opportunities to travel and compete
-going where we're wanted, not just tolerated or exploited
-time and space ro create
-truth
-connection
Hears to making moves in 2026
