As we walked to our very last #CAFFEINECRAWL stop, we paused at Neal’s Deli where
@openeyecafenc original location was before moving into the larger space next door. Open Eye served up 2 beverages from their current menu. The first was a strawberry chocolate drink which had the delightful aromatic of strawberries with a house made berry syrup balanced with espresso and chocolate flavors. The second was an iced Ethiopia Ardi coffee with grapefruit.
The tour was then wrapped up
@carrborocoffee production where owner Scott Conary brewed more coffee with different processing methods. While tasting these 4 brews from both Honduras and Nicaraguan producers he presented to the group the work Carrboro has done to forge and maintain direct relationship coffee producers over the couple of decades with a handful of partners while continuing to create some new ones.
