Leaving the cave doesn’t feel freeing (at first); it feels uncomfortable. The light is harsh. Everything that I thought I understood stopped making sense. That’s what this journey felt like at times.
From long nights in the PCVICU, to travel nursing, to stepping into a completely different role, there were moments where I questioned if I was making the right move. Moments where doubt (both internal and external) was loud, but growth doesn’t happen in what’s familiar. Now, on the other side of this chapter, I’m grateful I didn’t stay where it was comfortable; I’m stepping into a new chapter that actually aligns with the life I want.
