So I hope you love this batch of comfort soup for the entire week because so far I’ve been loving it anytime I want to heat up a quick DELICIOUS meal :)

Sauce: 1 Tbsp soysauce
1 tsp minced garlic
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp white vinegar
1 Tbsp sesame seeds Black pepper
3 Tbsp water
sprinkle of MSG is optional!

I’ve never been so loyal to a dishwasher detergent brand because I’ve flown through so many, and after one too many slimy residue and white streaks later, I’m totally sold on the Dirty Lab detergent that leaves everything sparkly clean, every time.

Today i’m making Clam Chowder Sujebi, mashup of my two favorite soups.
Editing this reminded me of how the traditional sujebi was one of my first videos that ever went viral in 2020, mainly because a lot of people were scrambling to cook at home with a limited pantry, and also a limited budget.
It’s been 5 years, and covid is almost a distant memory now. And instead of making sujebi made with my fridge leftovers, i’m making a rich, delicious clam chowder fusion.

🥹 such an honor to meet @chefedwardlee and try his food in Seoul! I’ve had so much respect for him not only as a chef but also as an author, and loved savoring every part of his book, Buttermilk Graffiti.
His writing took me on such a grounding journey through the lives of immigrants of all backgrounds throughout America, and deeply inspired me to perceive communities different than mine with acceptance, love, and a ravishing curiosity.
It was 1000x more enjoyable to try his food having learned a bit more about his philosophy and stories growing up in nyc. I am so thrilled that I got to experience it before I left Seoul.

It was just a few days ago that I was munching on Chef Lee’s chive jeon chips from the convenience store in my hotel room, and then the next day Chef Edward Lee invited me to his restaurant here in Seoul 😆 We got to meet Chef Lee at his restaurant at @capellaresidences.seoul , and had an absolutely unforgettable meal. Each dish was so balanced, absolutely delicious and a creative masterpiece.
