It begins at the exact moment Spring arrives, marking nature’s rebirth and a time to gather, share meals, and be with loved ones.
At the center is the Haft-Seen table, with 7 symbolic items that begin with the letter “S” in Farsi, each representing renewal and wishes for the year ahead.
On the 13th day, Sizdah Bedar, families gather outdoors and release the sprouted greens into flowing water, letting go of the past.

Cafe Duet is somewhere I’d visited a lot this past summer whilst living in the Pocono Mountains, I remember walking in for the first time after a long night and wanting some good coffee. They didn’t disappoint!
With rays of sunshine casting through the windows and Don’t Stop Me Now playing on vinyl - I felt at home.
It really is one of the few places around offering great food, a community and a smile. It was somewhere I could go on days off with friends to play cards, plan road trips and to eat some great waffles.
