Before Turtleback, Ajay was on the run.
It started in spite, but he started having fun.
His drinks had weight; he crafted good press.
If you find it too sour, maybe you never touched base.
Knock, knock—who’s there??? It’s the kombucha man.
Bring the refreshment to the table; that’s the only plan.
Let the sun spew hit—just sit and enjoy the drinks.

Brunch at Basera started as a simple idea, but it turned into something really special. People showed up from all over just to experience those slow, easy mornings with us. One thing we’ll always remember is the stories, how someone had to convince their friends or family to wake up early and come along. That effort, that excitement… it meant a lot to us.
When we first planned brunch, all we wanted was to put together a menu that genuinely hits those morning cravings. Finding a good brunch spot in Ahmedabad isn’t easy, and seeing all of you come in every Saturday and Sunday to start your weekends with us made it all worth it. Not every day was perfect, but the energy, the vibe, it was something else. Truly crazzyy in the best way.
For now, with the summer heat getting intense, we’re taking a break from brunch. We’ll let the monsoon pass, and coming winters, we’ll be back—refreshed, with a new menu and the same Basera mornings you love.

Yes, it’s basera after 1am, see the calmness, see the slow walks everyone is having, like time itself has softened a little and everything feels more present. The perfect end of a day feels just like in the video. Basera will always be grateful for the love we’ve received. We see the world a little differently, and somehow we’ve found the same perspective in almost everyone.
They say energies don’t meet by chance, they recognize each other. And maybe that’s how this happened… we found you, and you found us. We all found our basera.
Would love to do something in the after-hours… let’s see, something soon. Something softer, slower, just us, the night and whatever it turns into.
We all lived that day to the fullest. We’ll be planning Slow Rides to Mandan Lake again super soon.

A place so beautiful and so close to Ahmedabad, we never imagined it.
When we first discovered Mandan for the first time, we were surprised and awestruck by the fact that there are mountains, a huge lake, and so many tapus there. The fact that we could actually camp under the starry night, sit by a bonfire, and just be there in silence and peace made it even more special. We made a core memory and knew we had to bring people here, people who would truly value a place like this.
Slow Rides to Mandan Lake. We took a handful of like-minded people with us to experience what we experienced. And voilà, such beautiful people we met, who understood the meaning of being in their own space and giving others enough space to explore everything around them. People who sat in silence, watching the sun set, leaving the sky painted in so many hues.
They were all strangers, yet they became friends. They came there to free themselves from their thoughts or simply be with them, to appreciate their own existence and the nature around them. Glad we chose you guys!
You will see Ajay @offbeatawezzy (Galu’s dad) in many pictures here. What a man he is, so full of joy and love. He helped us everywhere, even in making everyone feel comfortable and entertained. We can’t thank him enough.
Bhakti ji @moriharibhakti , who brought @karawaanbeyondboundaries to us with an open heart, what a beautiful woman she is. The perfect example of beauty with brains, and yet a woman with a youthful heart. She was open to every idea we had for this one-day camping trip. Everything was done with ease because of her. We are grateful to have you with us and with Slow Rides.
We hope that just like this place left a core memory with us, everyone else also made a core memory for a lifetime. We love all!
