WRITTEN BY @ruthglynn925 has been writing professionally for over twenty five years, and works include children’s books, poetry, animation scripts and more recently, commercial fiction - short stories and serials - for magazines. Recently, she’s been excited to write for the adult stage for the first time. So far, these pieces have been short, very dark comedies. PERFORMED BY @oatjenner is a Welsh/ Thai actor. He is a multidisciplinary artist which includes roles as lecturer, facilitator, and the Artistic Director of Foldout theatre. He has worked in Theatre, TV, Film and Video games and his credits include; Julius Caesar (Company of Wolves), The Lost Elfs (Wonderfools), The Tourist (TV), Princess mirror-belle (TV), Expendables 4 (Film), Travelling past (Short film), The Echo experience (Short film), Fable video game (2026). @caesium__ is a Greek actor. She studied Theatre Studies in the University of Glasgow. Credits include award-winning short film “Blank Canvas” and acclaimed Fringe production “I See my Sister” by Cutty Sark. Last year, she took her dance-theatre show, “MARIA - A Play by Neféli” to Edinburgh Fringe, exploring the biblical myth of Mary Magdalene. This winter has brought music to my ears, a (good!) few - and some new! - friends to cherish, a chill wind to the cheeks, and always a pretty sky to look at. Feeling soft; creative; open. Awaiting the winter solstice. Drinking mulled wine, and coffee - sometimes black, always strong. Nutritious food - for the soul. December came in swiftly and inviting. Always wanting more. This year was tough. Love conquers all. 🤍

AUDIENCE REVIEWS 💛 MARIA went out with a bang! (And a standing ovation!). So here’s some of the audience reviews… Thank you to everyone who came to see the show! Attending this Edinburgh Fringe was some of the most demanding work I have ever had to do - physically and emotionally, but I’m leaving with lots of courage and hopeful ambition for what’s to come. Maybe better and bigger things… but for now, REST! Meet the face behind MARIA - A Play by Neféli 🍎 Neféli is a Greek actor based in Glasgow, Scotland. She grew up in Thessaloniki, Greece, where she spent most of her time dancing classical ballet, reading and exploring a love for performance and theatre-making. She has a Theatre Studies MA from the University of Glasgow. Among other projects, she has featured in “Blank Canvas”, an award-winning short film by @ratiofilm that competed in the 48hr Film Competition 2024 (@48hourfilmproject , @48scotland ), as well as their short film “Fortune Cookie”, and bewitched Macbeth with @gaslamptheatre earlier this year. She has also offered movement direction and choreography for projects such as the Glasgow University Charity Fashion Show 2023, and last year’s @cuttysarktheatre Fringe production, “I see my sister”. Her favourite play is Shakespeare’s “Midsummer Night’s Dream”. Joan Clevillé’s production of “ANTIGONE, INTERRUPTED” with the Scottish Dance Theatre in EdFringe 2022, Pina Bausch’s “Kontakthof” (1978) and “Rite of Spring” (1975), the kiss in Bausch’s “Café Müller” (1978) and the kiss in Angelin Prejlocaj’s “Le Parc” (1994) forever changed the way she sees theatre, choreography, and women. Her practice is concerned with ritual, trauma, bodily memory and collective culpability. This is her first Fringe! I first workshopped and performed MARIA in my last year of Theatre Studies, where I was able to get important feedback from my professor and classmates - invaluable contributions that shaped the final version of the show.
