when my family first dropped me off at michigan state i remember feeling the upmost rollercoaster of emotions. i was scared, nervous, excited, hopeful and confused but ready to chart a new path. the possibilities seemed endless and the world seemed brighter.
that rollercoaster didn’t slow down but instead got faster, college took me extremely high and extremely low at moments but i still had never wanted to get off the ride.
in college you end up in this never ending revolving door of self discovery. you have a cringey fashion phase, you like the wrong person, you befriended the best people and then sometimes the worst, you take a class that may make you feel not as smart, you cry, intake too much alcohol rinse and repeat.
as the years go on you don’t even realize that all of these experiences good and bad have ended up shaping you into a person you never thought you’d meet. that is the beauty of this experience.
you get ready with your music blasting texting your friends asking what bar they’re going to, you wait in long lines annoyingly but end up having the most fun night of your life. you all debrief about the interaction you had with your crush on the walk home and then you do it all again next weekend.
you get up at the most bizarre times to tailgate for the schools football game and you pack the stands hot, sticky and blazing but it doesn’t matter because this moment is too fun.
those are just the fraction of memories you make here at state
this place has brought me some of the best people i’ve ever known and i am so grateful

my family who has made so many sacrifices for me to get to this point and has never stopped supporting me
my friends for always being there and listening to me maybe talk about the same thing 500 times

even if ur a stranger and have even just given me a simple compliment at the bar when i may have needed it, thank u 💘💘💘💘
