Don't know how many people realize I've been in Ayurveda school 4 years now and before that I trained 200 hours in "Kundalini" yoga. It's been a long and very personal path for me. What started out as a training in which I thought I'd start teaching, turned into a 6+ year relationship. With little to no sharing with anyone besides a small amount of time @lunar_crystalline & I spent doing mantra practice & learning with a teacher. It has been such a process. It feels nice to naturally begin coming out on the other side of it. Still not sure where to next. But sharing here as I said I'd allow more aspects of myself to play with you all this year. We don't have a lot of the texts from Africa to "prove" everything because the libraries were lost to war & time as well as oral tradition was valid unto itself. We do know what people call "Western" sciences, from my current understanding was a shared lineage in which Mesopotamia-North Africa-Greek and the Mediterranean countries overall were comingling. Greeks in ancient time culturally were in more relationship with the SWANA region than "Europe." Colonization is many things but what I'm realizing is that it is an inaccurate past projection that wants to set a standard that postures as "the one." It's actually bullshit and I'm finding ways to acknowledge how I'm responsible for naming it but not being captured by it any longer. It's capturing can take place in its refusal, in it being centered, and/or not knowing it's even there. I pray this lands in a way that releases you more from that capturing. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

The more I go back into the histories my blood comes from, the majority of it is NOT patriarchal. Yes, I was conditioned in this society so I need to deconstruct how I've been captured in certain ways. But what about who I want to be, who we have known ourselves to be outside of the last few hundred years. I want to become myself. And that takes orienting towards something true. Not centering myself in a distortion. I acknowledge and recognize where we're and I don't want to stay there so I actively move in a direction that feels true. Decolonizing takes on many forms, has many layers, and it has different "departments." I will share more from the other places my blood comes from as I journey more. For now this is what the "Nigerian," part of me wanted to share.

With all this Aries energy, much is said about what it means, how it will show up in the world and personally. But how did you meet it?? I was in nature, danced, was around black joy, was teaching a lot. No matter the transit, much needs tending and when we can know what's to come, then we meet it with the appropriate tools. So this is how it went for me. Aries is primal- so I observed animals more closely. It's in my 5th house- So I engaged in dance, fun, and efforted towards joy. It was in a square with a lot of my planets- So I took my time to stay with the trouble of situations and received thorough learnings and did a lot of thorough teaching as well. I took over caring for cam’s hair about 2 years ago It’s been a process in learning how to do it and also very eye opening to my relationship to perfection and getting things right without being frustrated with myself He’s entrusted me with the sacred act of caring for his crown and I take that honor very seriously He went from wild man dreads to now us finding a flow in making it more the way he wants it and I am still working on the skill of this art He gives me so much patience in this process and it is taking me less and less time to get this KING’s crown 👑 looking good (even though I personally don’t think he ever doesn’t look good or feel good🥰) He’s never let anyone take care of his hair except for me and for that I feel so much pleasure and gratitude He doesn’t need much or ask of much from me so this being something I can do for him is really special for me This is intimacy for us in such a nourishing way and I’m thankful Happy new moon in Aries I Love you @cadream6
