68,687 - The number of times in we brought the library to you in 2025!
That's providing wireless service, physical materials, and even food packs to patrons with our Mobile Libraries. And crafts, giveaways, recommendations, storytimes, library card signups, and more to community events like farmers markets, health fairs, and school literacy nights.
We are so thankful for our knowledgeable staff, and the organizations and individuals that provide them the opportunity to work with our communities, in our communities. π€
April 21 is National Library Workers Day. Help us celebrate the library workers who show up for our communities every day. It takes a lot of people to bring a library to life. The staff helping you find exactly the right book, delivering the storytimes, running the book clubs that become weekly rituals, and offering help navigating endless questions.
And, thereβs the people you may not see on a visit but whose work makes every visit possible: those who ensure our branches are open and running, that both staff and patrons have access to reliable technology and internet, who support our staff so they can effectively serve the public, ensure our collection is accessible, diverse and of the highest quality, and those who work to make sure our community knows what's available to them. Today is for all of them.
THANK YOU to our staff across all locations. What you do every day matters more than you know.
Jenny Marr, Executive Director, CADL
It looks like we may have a beautiful weekend to check out a StoryWalk. We've been hard at work adding some new titles! π

The hatbox is a well-loved prop of the Mason branch storytimes. We recently replaced it and are so delighted for the old hatbox to be well-loved in a new home - A family that faithfully attends storytimes at multiple branches, even playing pretend storytime!
She kindly shared a photo of her son napping with the hatbox later that same day. β€
