After years of working with Unreal Engine as a core part of our 3D education, we are proud to announce that we are now officially an Unreal Engine Authorized Training Center. This formal partnership marks a new chapter, not a new beginning. Unreal Engine has been a key pillar of our curriculum for many years, particularly in real-time 3D, game development, and virtual production. With this new status, our collaboration with Epic Games becomes closer and more structured. It provides deeper integration, access to official training resources, and alignment with the highest standards in Unreal Engine training. More to come soon, but for now, we’re excited to share this milestone! #UnrealEngine #AuthorizedTrainingCenter #CADA #3DEducation #GameDev #VirtualProduction

Big News! We've crafted a strategic collaboration with Abertay University, allowing us to offer their accredited Bachelor of Honours in 3D Digital Arts. When you join our 3D Digital Artist education, you can choose to enrol in the corresponding Abertay University programme. There's no need for you to manage two separate educational tracks or worry about additional enrolment steps. You will study exclusively with us at CADA, and upon fulfilling the programme exams, you’ll be awarded a diploma by CADA and a BA (Hons) degree by Abertay University. Read more on our brand new website! #CADA #AbertayUniversity #Partnership

In collaboration with The Danish Film School and director Johan Reddersen, our 4th semester students Rasmus Olsen and Francesca Cristescu contributed to the short film DEEP SEA STAR. As Lead Simulation Artist and CG Artist, they worked on simulations in Houdini and environments in Blender as part of the film’s visual production. Here are a few words from Johan about the film and collaboration: “An eco liberation network communicates through messenger drones as they decide to sabotage the deep sea mining vessel, DEEP SEA STAR, but the labour of activism is challenging and painful, and carried out with a secretive emotionality.” “Working with the students at CADA to develop 3D environments and simulations was a crucial part of making the film reach its full potential.” A big thank you to Johan Reddersen and The Danish Film School for the collaboration and opportunity. Congratulations to Rasmus, Francesca, and the entire DEEP SEA STAR team! #3DArt #VFX #StudentWork #Filmmaking #Houdini

The Games Workers Conference is Friday, May 22nd, and, with the help of the wonderful people at DADIU, we’re hosting a Watch Party at the National Film School. We’re opening at 17:30 and start at 18:00, running until 00:00. You can join us here: National Film School, Theodor Christensens Plads 1, 1437 København K. Started as a reply to the Game Developers Conference, it features dozens of speakers, and covers a wide range of subjects including industry skills, project post-mortems, movement work, union campaigns, and more! This isn’t the conference to hear big names talk about corporate goals, but for the workers reflecting on the work they do in the industry. You’ll see presentations from a tiny development studio breaking down their first release; freelancers discussing community and solidarity in their solo professions; journalists discussing their work; and issues and matters that affect workers in the games industry. It is very much a conference for us, by us, talking about issues that affect us. Keeping with the ethos of the event, and with the kindness of DADIU’s heart, the Watch Party is free. Sign up on actionnetwork.org! We look forward to seeing you!

Last week, Toby Van Buynder from Nordic Game Jam visited CADA for an inspiring storytelling workshop. During his talk, he introduced Pixar’s 22 Rules of Storytelling along with practical frameworks that help save time when crafting compelling narratives. After the presentation, students teamed up for a hands-on exercise based on the theme “Library of Nature,” where they quickly created assets and scenes to bring their ideas to life. Thank you to Toby for coming by and sharing your insights! Our students are excited to be apart of Nordic Game Jam this April! #3Dworkshop #nordicgamejam #storytelling

Meet Oliver Martiny, a 6th semester student passionate about VFX and compositing!   Alongside his studies, Martiny has taken on freelance projects, handling VFX in Houdini and compositing in Nuke. His work includes crafting complex ant simulations for a short film featured at the Odense International Film Festival, where he pushed beyond traditional biped workflows and used photogrammetry to recreate realistic environments. He has also built a large-scale zombie crowd and environment for a music video using advanced terrain tools and Copernicus.   Great work, Martiny, for putting yourself out there! We encourage all students to explore freelancing during their studies, as it’s a powerful way to build both technical and professional skills.   #Houdini #Nuke #vfx #freelance

Here’s a selection of Unreal Engine projects created by our 2nd-semester students from the 3D Digital Artist Program. As an Unreal Engine Certified School, we integrate industry-standard tools into our curriculum from early on. Through these projects, students explore the fundamentals of Unreal Engine while applying their skills in environmental design, lighting, and composition to build both interior and exterior scenes. #unrealengine #epicgames #3dart #CADA #studentwork
