rebelling against life’s absurdity
sometimes a city, sometimes a conversation, sometimes a coincidence… Yet, rebelling against all this absurdity, you never know what your journeys will reveal to you, but as long as this feeling remains, there will always be something worth living for.

What a pleasure… I felt truly blessed on my last day in Tokyo at this jazz kissaten.

Bazen her şeyi anlatmak isterim, bazen sadece anlaşılmadan paylaşmak isterim. Bugün bir şeyler yazmak istedim. Çünkü her gün farklı kararlar verebiliriz, çünkü her gün değişiriz; çünkü bugün burada son gecem diye bir şeyler son değildir, başlangıçtır.
Sonlar başlangıç, siyahlar beyaz, yok oluşlar var oluşlardır.
Teşekkür ederim Tokyo, evimde hissettirdiğin için.

Thanks to @birdo_photo , I stayed in Shiogama, Japan as a documentary filmmaker, participating in a micro artist residency.
Shiogama is a small fishing town that was deeply affected by the 2011 earthquake and tsunami. Beyond the damage, what stayed with me most was the story of rebuilding not only spaces, but a strong and caring community.
Witnessing how a small town can hold such a big collective memory, and how art can become a bridge for connection, was deeply moving for me.
Aya’s work supporting both local and global artists, creating space for dialogue, and nurturing community inspired me more than I can fully put into words.
I’m especially grateful for the opportunity to sit with Aya not for a formal interview, but for an honest conversation. Her openness helped me express and shape what I was feeling and observing during my time here.
A special thank you to @notes.sdla for the care, generosity, and guidance throughout this time.
This experience will become part of @mizu.space , a continuing exploration of belonging through people, places, and shared moments.
Thank you for the trust, the warmth, and the memories.
I’m grateful for what this time gave me, and I look forward to sharing what quietly emerged from Shiogama.
