CONVENE
CACHE hosts an ongoing series of curated convenings aimed at specific creative audiences to promote communication and relationship-building across NWA.
One, in particular, is Social Hour. Social Hour connects colleagues from across the Northwest Arkansas arts world for an hour or so of food, drinks, conversation, and community development. Each Social Hour focuses on a different part of the creative community and expanding it!

If you’re a working artist or creative organization, utilize the calendar to share YOUR upcoming event. The Creative Calendar features performances, exhibitions, workshops, and events at The Medium and beyond. It’s the perfect place to keep up with all things creative in the area, connect with the creative community, and promote yourself!
If you’re part of an arts organization or hosting an event, add it to the calendar and we’ll help you get the word out. It’s as simple as submitting your information at the link in bio.

How can we build collaborations that are intentional, aligned, and rooted in a shared mission?
Dr. Quanice Floyd is returning this spring to build on the conversation from our fall workshop. In Ethical Partnerships in Action, she’ll walk arts and culture nonprofit leaders and teams through a practical process for creating partnerships founded on trust, accountability, and mutual values.
If you’re part of an arts and culture nonprofit in NWA, this session is made for you.
If you’re nervous about sharing your work, you’re not alone. Every exhibition, rehearsal, and performance here started with someone unsure. The willingness to explore the discomfort, the trial and error in experimentation, and still be curious enough to dive into the process is part of creating.
We’re here so artists have room to try, even before they’re certain.
Ready to take that next step? Learn more and get in touch with us to see how we can support you in making your vision into reality!

What we’ll be carrying back to our community is a renewed reminder of how important it is to keep the arts visible, valued, and actively part of the conversations shaping our future. Programs like the @americans4arts and @artsactionfund Legislative Fly-In highlight the power of bringing arts leaders together from across the country to strengthen the voices of artists, educators, and communities.
Through training sessions and time on Capitol Hill, we’re walking away with a deeper understanding of how federal arts policy connects to funding, arts education, and the everyday impact it has on communities, including right here in NWA.
More than anything, it reinforced a strong sense of pride in the work happening at the local level and the role the arts play in building connected, thriving communities.
This experience was a powerful reminder that when we stay engaged and continue sharing our stories, we help ensure the arts remain a meaningful and prioritized part of our collective future.

Excited to be in Washington, D.C. celebrating all the hard working artists and arts organizations in NWA. We're here with @Americans4Arts and @ArtsActionFund for the 2026 Legislative Fly-In, advocating for continued federal funding through the National Endowment of the Arts which supports the @ArkansasArtsCouncil and funds arts organizations. Thank you artists and thank you arts and culture nonprofits who are doing the work in our community!

In today’s world, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to spare time to dedicate to art. The artists in this world play an important part in shaping not only identity, but influencing culture, provoking different perspectives, feelings, and ways of being, and also inspiring the youth and future generations to come. Creativity is essential and a natural part of being human. That’s why we continue to advocate for creatives and cultural leaders alike. Here’s a few tangible ways you can support an artist friend you know:
•Don’t haggle with artists. The value isn’t always in the end result, it’s in the courage, unique perspective, and devotion to feel everything and being willing to express that vulnerability with us. When you pay us fairly, you’re assuring that we can continue to create for years to come and feel passionate, not burnt out.
• A lot of ideas never come to fruition because we’re so used to only believing in the tangible. When an artist comes to you with an idea, cheer them on, then ask, how can you support them in making it come to life?
• We’re too busy making art to always be present in public and advocate for our work. If you see an opportunity that aligns with us, or a person that is seeking our related medium, give us a shout out. It means the world to us.
• Ask us questions on the process. Listen to the ways in which we are all uniquely inspired. Invest in holding space for all the weird and quirky ways in which sparks our interest. All we truly want is to feel connected to you in the most meaningful and authentic way possible, and creating is our way to honestly do so.
Art doesn’t survive on admiration alone. It survives on action. 🤍
These photos are from the recent Love Lounge event that took place at @themedium_art in February, hosted by @mysticdivinelove . Events like this fully embody that.
Creativity doesn’t happen in isolation, it’s built by a community that chooses to support it.
