Nørdede ud med Snöleoparden igen.
Lyder ikke som noget jeg har hørt før, men forestiller man sig et en kontrafaktisk virkelighed hvor Neu, Can eller Cluster er på toppen i 2026, bruger et godt stykke tid på Bali og vælger at ignorere moderne teknologi, er man forholdsvis tæt på.
Den herre har som bundsolid sessionmusiker bidraget til en del indspilninger i studiet og jeg har gennem knap 20 år været til mange Snöleoparden-koncerter, så brokker mig ikke over en mulighed som denne.
Havde besøg af Snöleoparden i weekenden og fik sparket gang i et nummer der bliver et kæmpe arrangement af polyrytmiske guitarer.
Vi kørte med dobbelt forstærkersetup: Marshall Superlead og Vox AC15 til henholdsvis en Oktava ribbonmic og en Sennheiser MD441.

AGFA was quite smart… printed “PEM 468” across the back of all 730 meter of tape. First indication you didn’t get ripped off 😁 In a few weeks this tape will be fed music by one of the best songwriters I’ve ever heard.

Never been that much into condensers on electric guitars… more amp noise and more fucking around for an instrument that lives in the midrange just seems daft. If this doesn’t change my mind I doubt it’s ever gonna happen. If nothing else it’s decadent.
And no… it ain’t mine, holding it for a mate and its against my religion to let vintage Neumann mics feel lonely.

PS. Yeah, the kick drum set up looks scruffy as hell but it does solve one of the greatest problems since some twat invented nuclear weapons. @krogenofficial should get some sort of award for bringing this gift to my humble studio. The kick won’t move an inch, but it’s definitely gonna remind you why putting light objects on top of your speakers is a terrible idea except as a quick experiment in physics.
