📢 Meet our #CreativeToWatch @caactuscare Hi there, my name is Anastasia, founder and creator of CAACTUS CARE, an event agency based in Heraklion. I was born and raised in Germany, majored in education and worked in various areas with children and young adults. However, growing up in the restaurant of my parents, who were Greek immigrants, had a strong influence on me. In 2019 I decided to visit Crete. I have been living here ever since. It was love at first sight. I founded CAACTUS CARE in 2021. The initial idea behind it was to keep children busy at weddings. However, not in the usual way that everyone was used to, with clowns and magicians. I wanted to create unique play areas with small tables, large tents and chic decorations where children participate in creative activities. Finally giving the little guests the amount of attention they deserve, considering that most events aim to keep the adults entertained. At the same time, I wanted to avoid the huge amount of decorations and party supplies that are usually used, so I decided to come up with a concept that was both fun and environmentally conscious. This means no huge balloon installations, no single-use plastic, but instead decorations that are kind to nature, such as large cotton cloths, fabric garlands and cardboard constructions, all of which are reusable. Today, the recognition value of CAACTUS CARE is based on this philosophy and I am beyond happy to have met like-minded who appreciate my approach. KDB Wedding — It’s been almost a year since we designed Kat and Kate’s wedding in Crete. The two-day celebration took place at their favorite hotel, @abatonisland , near Heraklion. Since Kat and Kate were already familiar with the resort, our task was to redesign the restaurant area in a fresh and different way, something that reflected the couple’s aesthetic preferences. We developed a design concept for them that we called “𝙁𝙡𝙤𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙚𝙖𝙣 𝙎𝙚𝙖”.
