Wael Toubaji, 'stranger', animation documentary, 2019. ______ Wael Toubaji, born in Alnabk, Syria in 1984. Graduated from the faculty of fine arts, Damascus University, Syria in 2009. Currently based in Denmark. ____ Wael is an artist interested in the political situation in the Middle East during the post-colonial era, the impact of borders and nationalism as a hybrid concept in the lands of the silk road. His narrative is inspired by personal experience in exile. He primarily works with video, contemporary animation and moving images.
