Exposing the double paints. I have personally sanded back frames from Colnago, DeRosa, Specialized, Wilier, Dolan and now a Trek only to find the last year's paint scheme underneath. Is it a big deal? What would you think if you found out it had extra layers and weight? It's a small amount but is it fair practice rather than discounting what you couldn't sell?
ISP extension. Ken @hoi.__.c came to me with a special frame. Only a handful of track versions were made to order. Identical to the road frames except at the rear ends. The frame was sadly cut down however this was restored by making 2 new pieces of tube. Now we have full seatpin insertion at the correct height and the clamp is not even needed. Super clean! This bike wasn't without input from its owner though, with his own design of hub conversion for his equally rare Madfiber wheels to fulfill his dream build. All finished off with a tricolour. Swipe >
the tour de guyane. After an excellent showing in the first day -3rd and the combative jersey, day 2 started with promise. with 2 separate road stages totalling 200km it was a logistical challenge. The team owned the first of them with Matt Ellmore claiming a 2nd place and Herman Keller getting promoted to the leaders yellow jersey. 4 of ours made the top 15 in the GC. The team gained the white jersey and car number 1 in the convoy. We were buzzing. The afternoon could have gone better though and turned into damage limitation when a 19 strong break resulted in some losses. Anything can happen, it's an aggressively fought tour and the heat majorly impacts power when trying to survive counter attack after counter attack. Sometimes jerseys are an anchor. We're free to ride as we please again.
Many cyclists experience a wobble in their form during a lifetime but at least your cranks don't need to. CTechnique is the only person putting the srm carbon splines back to being tight 🥳 even pros have used this service for their personal bikes.
