Coming to the tail end of a “max strength” series about building to the heaviest weights I can comfortably manage. Moved the 95lb DBs for 3, got the 100lb for 1, 195 on the bench for 5 reps, and 105 on the strict press for 9 (was going for 10 but shoulders were cooked). Gonna be shredding soon, so weight goes down rep goes up, but moving heavy shit is fun.
A little cardio flow from @neenwilliams . Hit this KB complex (5 rows, 5 cleans, 5 push press, 5 front squats) TEN times. After each time, hopped on the rower for a 30 sec sprint. After that, hit core, then arms.
Hit them E. Hondas. This is 255 but could probably do 300 for a 1RM. Back down sets of RDLs at 225. Imma keep it a bean: the Bulgarians were on some bullshit when they decided this was how you do squats. Don’t like these. Straight to jail. Don’t pass Go. Don’t collect $200.
Today is my beautiful, amazing best friend and wife @carsonjade ’s birthday. She’s beyond selfless. Before going out for birthday dinner with friends she mended the boys clothes. I’m so lucky to have her as my partner in the parenting, the gym and in life.
Don’t skip leg day. Worked up to a 1 rep max of 225 on squats with working sets after at 205. Dumbbell RDLs at 85. Bulgarians 😖😖😖 and finished with cyclist squats to get the quads poppin. Will check back on this in 6 weeks.
Some things I cooked and a couple things I ate in Japan. Had real Wagyu and lemme tell you: the shit we eat over here is garbage meat. Reminded me of the first time I had a proper French croissant.
