After many weeks away, Buster the traveling shop cat came back for a visit! This time I was able to convince him to come inside and take the tour. Eventually I got him up to the office for a short relax. But before long he was off again.
Here is the answer to my earlier post. Basic turning, drilling, and boring ops first, then two 4 axis milling ops flipping and indexing the part. Then the final turning op to free up the ends is done with a large plug in the bore to keep the part from collapsing. Worked perfectly the first time.
