Day 3 Recap : Project Empowerment 2.0
The cameras were no longer just tools they became expressions of creativity and confidence. Led by Ahmed Usman @aqmed02 , the ladies stepped fully into action setting up equipment, designing their shots, assigning roles, and working as a team. The space truly felt like a live film set, with ideas turning into execution and confidence taking the lead.
The learning deepened with an insightful production session by Jumoke Azeez @jumoke__azeez , highlighting the power of planning, structure, and collaboration in bringing stories to life.
Beyond the skills, these young women are learning to think, create, and lead positioning themselves for real opportunities in the creative industry.
And through this, we continue to drive economic empowerment and inclusion, opening doors to better healthcare, education, and life outcomes.
Day 3 reminded us: when women have access to the tools and space, they lead.

🎬✨ From Beauty to the Big Screen: Empowering Women in Film & TV Makeup! 💄🎥
Breaking barriers in the beauty industry means creating new pathways for women and girls. While the makeup industry is booming, many don’t realize they can turn their artistry into a thriving career in film and television!
With the rapid expansion of the film/TV industry, Makeup & Special Effects (SFX) artistry is more in demand than ever. But it’s not just about applying makeup, it’s about storytelling, creativity, and mastering the technical skills needed to bring characters to life.
That’s why we trained these incredible young women, equipping them with essential skills like:
✅ Script Analysis & Character Breakdown: Understanding a character’s look based on the script
✅ Makeup & SFX Application: Transforming actors to match storylines
✅ Professional Etiquette: Working effectively on set
✅ Time Management: Handling high-pressure production schedules
✅ Internship Opportunities: Gaining hands-on experience in the industry
Their certification we issued is a mark of professional training, giving them a competitive edge to secure internships and kickstart their careers. 🎓
This initiative goes beyond makeup, it’s about economic empowerment, self-expression, industry growth, and entrepreneurship. By investing in their skills, we’re fostering financial independence, gender equality, and diversity in career choices.
Together, we’re redefining opportunities and proving that women belong in every industry including film and television! 🎥

In commemoration of the 16 Days of Activism Campaign, T.A. Initiative engaged 5 talented actors and creatives to produce a powerful monologue video addressing Gender-Based Violence.
Through compelling portrayals of domestic violence, early child marriage, and sexual harassment, the video highlights the importance of men as active bystanders speaking up and supporting women.
This campaign aims to leverage social media/online platforms to raise awareness and inspire action.
Together, we can Break the Silence and End the Cycle of violence.

Sexual violence remains a critical Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) issue affecting millions of women and girls globally, with lasting physical, emotional, and psychological impacts on survivors.
Ending rape culture requires collective responsibility. Be an active bystander:
- speak up safely
- support survivors
- help victims reach safety
- challenge victim blaming and harmful behaviors.
Every action contributes to creating safer communities rooted in dignity, respect, and accountability.
At Care for Her Initiative (C4HER), we remain committed to advocating for the rights, safety, and wellbeing of women and girls.
Silence protects offenders. Action protects people.

Sustainable impact goes beyond training it requires guidance, access, support, and continuous growth.
As we introduce the mentors for Project Empower 2.0, we are reminded that mentorship is a critical part of long-term sustainability and success for young women in the creative industry.
Through this mentorship structure, our mentees will receive industry guidance, career support, accountability, and access to professionals who understand the journey.
This is important because true empowerment does not end after a bootcamp. It continues through relationships, opportunities, exposure, and consistent learning that help young women grow, thrive, and build lasting careers.
We are grateful to our mentors for choosing to invest in the future of the next generation of female creatives. Your impact will extend far beyond the training room.
