We are Clay & Meagan Coppage- the owners of C² Counseling. We get asked how we work together being married.
The truth?
We are intentional about our marriage and use the same Gottman Method tools we teach our clients.
No couple is perfect. We are human. We will get frustrated with each other or misunderstand each other but we know how to repair and process those moments so that it doesn’t lead to resentment.
It also helps that we are truly best friends. We enjoy each other’s company and look forward to lunchtime together in the middle of the work day.
We love what we do and feel encouraged by each other’s passion to serve our individual clients and couples.
It’s hard to believe it’s almost been one year since a dream became a reality. Clay and I have dreamed of operating out of an actual home for our therapy practice. We want everyone who enters to feel that this is a space that embodies home: safe, warm, personal and comfortable. This 1900 beauty was everything we dreamed and more.
We don’t take for granted how meaningful our work is. Sitting with people who trust us with their deepest vulnerabilities is an absolute privilege.
Looking forward to many years of sharing this home with our community. 💜
We loved hosting Huntsville Music’s Scenes benefit concert for their new initiative to connect local musicians to mental healthcare called Of Sound Mind. We are one of the growing providers in this new network being formed as well as Healing Sounds Music Therapy
