Join us 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟏𝟎𝐭𝐡 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝟏-𝟑𝐩𝐦 to create beautiful, one of a kind cyanotype tote bags! In this beginner friendly workshop you will get hands on experience learning how to coat and create contact cyanotype prints on tote bags!
Cyanotypes are a historic print making technique dating back to its creation in 1842. The technique requires coating a surface in a chemical mixture then exposing the surface to UV light. Once washed with water we are left with beautiful Prussian blue prints.
Cyanotypes are a great introduction to alternative print making and are easy for anyone to do! All supplies will be provided. Please just wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and an excited attitude!
This workshop will be taught by @c.dutts . Some of you may recognize Chloe as she works here in the shop on Sundays! Chloe is a Columbia college Chicago graduate with a BA in photography and a focus in Fine Art Photography.
