The car was originally built by an old gentleman for vintage drag racing with a supercharged 8BA engine.
I purchased in 2019 from a neighbor at the time and got straight to changing a few things.
The exhaust that was on it looked and sounded terrible so I got straight to making a stainless exhaust. I didn't and still don't know how to tig weld, so I just fused it together.
It had an old falcon gearbox at the time that felt like a bowl of mush, so I swapped it out for a T5 from a chevy S10 which was a big upgrade for the car.
I ended up selling the car to a good buddy who spent some money recoverring the interior and giving it a good ol tidy up.
Somehow the exhaust is still all intact and the car still sounds great.
I need to start using Instagram like a scrap book to look back on, so here is Joely and Beth's rad lil Sunrader.
I had seen lots of pics previously, but Joel and Beth too us for a wee looksy just before I flew out of LA last year.
It wasn't quite finished yet when we saw the truck, but all of the small details were thought about and everything was done very well. Such a rad truck.
