I’ve thought about doing harmonograph bleach dye shirts for almost 2 years. Today was the day. This experiment is essentially the 2nd edition of my harmonograph, you can see photos of the original on my portfolio website (link in bio) I am using the table top as the hanging platform here. Would love to have a science crew of physicists to de-brief with on how to replicate the most perfect waveforms for this size canvas. This was a fun experiment but did not create the waveforms I was hoping for. Hanging a platform at 4 points under my porch was an easy solution but I feel like it creates too much randomness/ moves too fast. I think the ropes should be longer. I’m thinking of the Discovery Museum in Acton MA with the hanging harmonograph table. How would you optimize a harmonograph build to use liquid instead of a pen? . . . #stlouisartist #harmonograph #bleachdye #harmonographbleachdye #waveforms

I made a painting✨I finished this last month as a commission, thank you Connor for supporting my work! It’s 24x32” acrylic and pastel on masonite panel. I built the panel and custom wood frame. I also painted their kitchen walls which is now the background for this painting, which is meta. It’s a testament to my 2-pronged small business that I’ve established for myself of fine art sales & interior home painting. Upcoming markets I will be tabling at:
 * Sat 5/16 Flowering Artist Mural Festival in Delmar Loop, 1-8pm (I’ll be behind the Seoul Taco, and the whole fest is on Delmar from Limit Ave to Kingsland) * Sat 5/23 Punk Rock Flea Market in Tower Grove, 10am-7pm (east half of the park on Main Dr) * Sat 5/30 Tower Grove Farmer’s Market, 8am-12:30pm * Sat 6/13 Block Party aka the steamroller printmaking festival (!!!) at St Charles Foundry Art Center, 11am-5pm. They rent a steam roller and print over massive woodcut
After that I will be out of town for almost two months at an artist residency in eastern Pennsylvania, Mt. Gretna School of Art. I’ll have a handful of booths at TGFM while I’m away that a friend will be coordinating. Next weekend at PRFM will be my 2 YEAR ANNIVERSARY selling my art locally at markets around St. Louis and fully investing in myself and my art business. I’ve learned so much, met so many beautiful humans and I’m so proud that I’ve made it this far to be able to support myself from my creations ⭐️

I didn’t take a single photo at @bici_stl Prom but I’m grateful for Bert and Alison for snagging these. I love friends and I love life and I love a big dramatic hat to seal the look. I danced for 3 hours in 4” heels which deserves an award ⭐️ Proud to wear my button “Care to Dance?” from my Uncle David he had in the 80’s. Thank you for the stellar community.

So many buttons but actually I want to keep them all. Which is your fave? Harmonograph buttons: I built the machine, which makes the drawings, and curated tiny compositions from the infinite stack that I’ve collected from all the times I demo’d this invention. Each one is an ~experience~, a window into a set of pendulum parameters that can never be recreated again. Will have them available this Sat at TGFM at the LitShop student booth that I’m coordinating, to give young girls the experience of selling their artwork, talking to customers and get a head start on building their art business. . . . . #stlouisartist #harmonograph #harmonographbuttons #buttonmaker #somanybuttons

“To Me, From Me.” I picture my awkward, comic-book-drawing self sitting alone at the lunch table in 8th grade and someone cool like me now pulling up a chair, handing her this bomb AF envelope filled with trinkets and magic and inside jokes and the coolest fkn art I’ve ever seen. “Guess what girl, you made all that!! If people can’t see how amazing you are, they’re losers. Let’s go to the Art Room and make costumes.” At one point in my ACA journey I had to learn to stop writing letters trying to explain myself to people who could not give me what I needed. If someone is not emotionally available, it doesn’t matter if I have the perfect articulated points— it’s wasted energy. I believe my interest in writing when I was younger developed as a trauma response in wanting to be heard and understood. “If only I said it in a different way, THEN they would understand me.” It’s a dead-end. Nothing I could have done would have changed the outcome. These envelopes contain all of me. No one can take them away, or burn them cuz they don’t want to hear my experience. They avenge me and protect my spirit. I carved these envelopes in 300g screenprinted paper with a box cutter. I started with scissors, but it didn’t target the feeling I needed to release. I had to slice them with a trapezoid-shaped blade. It has been 12+ years since I last used weapons on my body to overcome a bad feeling. When you change the canvas from harming your body into tangible art/writing/performance, that’s growth :) And most importantly, pinpointing the source: “I’m not mad at MYSELF… I’m mad at my boundaries being crossed.” Limited edition of 6. Shout-out Hera reclaiming her power and Persephone’s alter-ego as a blood-eyed titan queen of the underworld. Slide 6 and 7 art by Rachel Smythe. Lore Olympus is my favorite series with absolutely stunning artwork and love built on safety and friendship. Make your own toys and play with them for no reason. ⚠️WARNING ⚠️ extremely annoying sounds for long periods of time. Three 4093 ICs for the oscillators and one 4017 decade counter IC. To be continued. . . . #noise #oscillators #4093 #4017

✨Studio Tour✨ feat. newly built electronics shelf to prioritize musical creations, updated decor and a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: Still comprehending this but here we go… I got accepted into a 7-week artist residency this summer at Mt. Gretna School of Art in Pennsylvania @mountgretnaschoolofart It is a painting intensive: plein air painting & figure drawing every day, co-op cabin life, and weekend trips to NYC museums. My attendance is made possible by a $4000 scholarship from the school, which is incredibly generous and feels other worldly for someone to believe in me and my work enough to be worth that. I’ll be gone mid June through August. End of Aug I’ll have a 40 year b-day party when I’m back and show all the things I made. I love organizing my creative space to absolute perfection and ease of use. What do you like about your studio? I will miss my lil slice of peace & serenity here this summer but grateful for a new experience in the studio of The World. Cat-eye nails are truly the bisexual choice because they are both/and: my nails are black/ and purple / and olive green / and infinite galaxies ALL at once. I can paint a lot of things but not my own bomb af gel manicure. Having perfect nails almost every day of the year so far 💅 which never in my lifetime has ever been a thing. 2026 hits different don’t you think? . . . #studiotour #stlouisartist #makeallthethings

Proud of myself for being so vulnerable with this piece I wrote in the last few days and circled through so many emotions putting it together. Thank you so much @indecentqueerpoetry for providing a blank canvas and a microphone for the taking— an open challenge for anyone to come as you are and speak your truth. Writing is truly a journey. Immaculate vibes from the audience!! Thank you to everyone who came up to me after to say you liked it or balled your eyes out, I’m here for it. I dare you to write something for the next one: May 21 . . . . #stlouisartist #spokenwordpoetry

Feeling creatively spicy today / new album drop sans album / come see me perform tomorrow at the @indecentqueerpoetry night. In high school I acquired some of these stickers. I had one on my sketchbook and my acoustic guitar that I loved and wrote infinite songs on until it got stolen. Will probably be making my own soon. I’m a 3 Phase System baby 🔌 made this in Illustrator today . . . #480volts #stlouisartist #adobeillustrator #cometcrowbar #collageartist
