I have finally made an ambient mix!!
something that I wanted to do for such a long time as although I love all kinds of music, my head really needed a break. Making this mix was really great to step back, get out of my head and give myself a confidence boost, to remind myself that I am capable and that I am good at what I do. I have so much to feel, see and say!!
when I was making my last mix I stumbled upon a wholesome photo of mum and I at my grandmas in Virginia circa 2004/05. (swipe to see 🤭) Not only is it super cute but it made me remember that I don’t have to rush around at 937380 billion miles an hour to try and rush to put something out! Mum has had such a large influence on me musically from such a young age and so I wanted her violin to be the first thing that you hear when you listen! This is also the first time that a mix has featured any production of my own!!
even though I’m nervous to share the prod it’s something that I’ve worked so hard on and I’m really happy and proud of it!
I wanted the mix to start really minimal with some experimenting and elements from other genres…building into big watery moments that wash over you, ending with one of my all time favourite songs! 😁
This project wouldn’t be anything that it is with out Kaylí’s incredible art!!
Kaylí and I met at the start of this year and have since become fast friends!! To have them design the cover with their ridiculously awesome talents with such enthusiasm whilst being away in Europe means the world to me I could literally go on forever and I am so freaking incredibly grateful!! 🫶🫶🫶🫶

NEW MIX - BUGS IN MY BRAIN🐛🕷️🪰🪲
Just under 90 minutes of songs that have been bouncing around my head for the past two months of all genres and styles!! i went to Melbourne in December to see some friends and felt very inspired by everyone and everything to create something that I felt really connected to but when I came back I lost all momentum and as a result this mix has been sitting on my usb since I recorded it on new years eve.
Im really lucky to have some of the greatest friends in the entire world who hype me up and offer some of the best advice a boy could ask for and for that I’m oh so ever grateful 🙏
This sounds really silly but I’ve been quite paranoid about sharing my creations with everyone as I am really hyper self critical about my own mixing and overall work so recording and battling with myself about putting this out has been quite strenuous but that feeling doesn’t go away unless you put it out there so here we are..I was really worried about what everyone would think….I truely can’t stress enough how great my support system is..and looking back at it I know it’s silly but I found it really hard to get out of my own brain and reach out for more gigs :p
Sharing this now I’m really quite happy with how this turned out and as I do with most things really put all of my everything into creating this so I really hope y’all enjoy!!! happy birthday dad, I love you ❤️

standing up there felt so crazy all these emotions spilling out of me all at once, looking out and seeing all the besties right there within arms reach filled me with so much happiness and joy and made me feel so safe and warm. Having my mum there was also so sweet and wholesome!!! 🫘🫶💙
thanks to all the other wonderful friends who have asked me to play music recently. It’s been so nice to be given such awesome spaces to fully express myself and feel so comfortable and connected to everything 💗🥳
