How will it work? Bring used materials you don’t need anymore (clean, unassembled and reusable), we’ll weigh them and assign a value in zarbs (our internal currency), and then you’ll be able to shop from our stock of used materials.

WE’RE BACK: a little late this year, but we’re back with our beginning of the year clean-up!
Come by BZAR tuesday 14/10, at 17:00 for a little info session with the family group and have a coffee and snack on us. At 17:20 we start cleaning up the BZAR, come by and help (for zarbs of course) until 19:00 🧱🐝🛠️
✨ CLEAN-UP SEASON IS HERE ✨
Monday 02.06 we’ll be bringing materials from the master space on 5th floor down to the MU space on 1st floor. Come by to lend a hand for as much time you have, we’ll need a hand bringing down materials and cataloguing them in the MU space. This year we’ll be photographing all the materials we find, so if you want to keep any you are welcome to after the shoot. As always you’ll get 20zarbs/h and we’ll also have coffee and croissants for those who come early 🧱🥐🪵

This is a love letter to you and our space. 💌 This autumn marks a 3rd birthday of the material bank. The first generation of Bzar is now closing its chapter… what a journey! 🥹 We are so grateful to have collectively brought a strong sense of reuse and care for materials into the school as well as the community we have created - this initiative only exists because of it. As the time passes we need your involvement and support to make sure it continuous to grow and thrive.
We are forever thankful to @fd_recuperatheques for their support and we’re convinced these values will carry forward to the new generation. (and hopefully into the new building of @designacademyeindhoven )

Sounddesign Lab at the Graduation Show 2024
The student-led initiative is inviting this years GS visitors to explore the exhibition through sound. Join us during three days of workshops and get a glimpse of what we do as an educational platform on sound design.
Discover projects that work with sound as a designed medium or experience the exhibition by listening.
In short workshop sessions of 2 hours, the tutors Max Frimout and Hilde Wolfenstein invite to learn about sound synthesis and techniques to expand the imaginary through sound.
Workshop days: 19.10., 20.10. & 21.10.
Come by in the room „other field“ to also explore other student-led initiatives.

Material Bank is getting ready for DDW24, and we want you to be part of it!
Have you recently made projects with us? Fully or partially? Do you want a chance to have your work exhibited in our space during the Graduation Show? This year, BZAR wants to highlight student outcomes, from BA and MA :)
We’re looking to collect your projects, as we’re proud to show what can be done with leftover materials! If you’ve used old clay, leftover electronics, wood, metal, textiles, or anything else, we’d love to see it.
We are gathering as many proposals as possible to:
1. Feature some projects in our space (used or displayed), and/or
2. Present some in our printed materials (postcards/booklet).
This is a great opportunity to give visibility to more of you!
