The Misfits of Hegemony.
“One thing that is simple to detect is that the relationship between the ‘hegemon’ and the subordinate is the inequality of power.”
The typography-based publication ranges from the exploration of post-colonial literature, power of language in mother tongue, from the French colonial dominance over Tunisia that resulted to the Bizerte Crisis, to the independence of Korea and more.
This publication aims to document, present, and discuss the political, social, cultural, and linguistic dominance that heavily affects the relations between the coloniser and the colonised.
Most importantly, the publication highlights the significance of understanding how the repercussions of colonisation continue to impact the world we live in today.
