Been meaning to share this redesign that I’m really proud of. 🥹 Thank you so much to @blackgirlswhowrite for the challenge, I had so much fun reimagining the stories of Olanna, Kainene and Ugwu and bringing them to life.
@chimamanda_adichie ‘s ‘Half of a Yellow Sun’ has been one of my favourite reads since I was a teen, so this task felt so nostalgic 🌺✨

I’m honored to share the two illustrations and cover designs I created for Migrating Through the Terrains and its companion journal, Sacred Paths, written by the phenomenal Anisah Amat.
Migrating Through the Terrains is a deeply personal poetry collection that explores life’s landscapes - its mountains, storms, deserts, and oceans - through raw and vulnerable verses. Its companion journal, Sacred Paths, invites readers to embark on their own journey of reflection, healing, and growth.
Each design detail was inspired by the themes of vulnerability, healing, and self-love that make these books so powerful.
I’m so grateful to @anisahamat for trusting me with this body of work. It felt like the perfect timing and alignment for the first time I’ve put pencil to paper in a little while. I’ve missed illustration so much.
