Haven’t posted in while but felt the need to share this baby clip from the end of my Costa Rica trip earlier this year.
I’ve been working a lot and working on myself….wanting more from myself. Wanting what feels good even if it’s for a moment. I want to feel my best when I wake up and when I lay to rest. I was honesty and genuine connect. Through and through. I am working towards a goal that may seem slow and simple to others but I don’t really care what it may seem, it’s not your goal.
I think about this 10 min long dance video almost everyday now and what to do with it. I’d hate to cut it up into a 60 sec recap. There is a serious story to tell here….there are so many ups and down in the video, it reminds me of life. You can’t cut corners or you’ll never see the whole picture. Idk. I’ll figure it out. Until next time 🫶🏽
Came across this photo in my album just now and want to reshare this beautiful ball of light, Nana. Anything you are doing rn sis, I’m proud of you 💕

Took a leap and chose to go fully freelance/contracted today. Its a funny feeling since this is round 2. 3 years ago.
In this season, I have a better understanding of who I am as an artist and adult. I have better understanding of the business of being an artist and mostly, I know my worth. So dont play with me.
Reach out. Id love to work within the space of theater, dance, lighting design, set design, vjing, and projection mapping.
On a personal note, im stepping into the space of installation building. So if you have the space, id like to build in it.
Im excited for the future....more than usual
Change rarely announces itself.
Sometimes it begins quietly, within the body.
“The Shift” by @thekareembgoodwin explores the moment when transformation takes hold when tension becomes movement and uncertainty becomes direction. What begins as subtle internal resistance gradually unfolds into decisive action, revealing the body’s instinct to adapt, evolve, and move forward.
Some moments don’t ask for permission.
They simply ask us to move.

The body is an archive of stories, holding memories, emotions, and experiences within its movement.
In a rehearsal process, those stories are explored through gesture and phrase, built into sequences, and shaped into choreography. Layer by layer, those lived experiences reveal their texture until the story becomes the dance.
“What begins as story in the body eventually reveals itself as a dance.”

Rehearsal is where the work begins to breathe.
What starts as an idea slowly finds its rhythm through repetition, trust, and time. Each rehearsal reveals something new deeper intention, stronger connection, clearer storytelling.
The progress isn’t always loud, but it’s real.
And every step brings us closer to the moment we share it with you.

Before us, there were others.
Their strength lives in our bodies. Their stories live in our movement.
The body remembers and it carries history, lineage, and the echoes of those who came before us.
“By Blood, By Bone” by @marcusisaiah is a reflection on lineage, inheritance, and the ways our bodies carry the invisible threads that connect us to those who came before us. What we inherit is not only in name or story, but in the very structure of our being, our blood, and our bone.
We thank you.

A big thank you to @driftnirvana for throwing an amazing event this month, with Drifters of December. But an even bigger thank you, to the KIDS drift team for hosting us. We were privileged to be given an opportunity to recap the event, with our newest cinematic. We’ll see you at the next one!
