Track 7 from my fairytales EP, this song Angel Moon is heavily inspired by my relationship with my Filipino culture.
The lyrics explore topics like being 2nd generation + an eldest daughter of an eldest daughter. Catholicism playing a huge role in my upbringing + my curiosity of Philippine mythology. Many of these scenes being inspired by Mayari, the Tagalog goddess of the moon, beauty, combat, known for resilience + feminine power 🪽
