🚨SHOW EXTENDED🚨 The Fires: Hoboken 1978-1982 @centropr has been extended thru June 30th. Thank you to the entire staff for hosting this exhibition and highlighting this work. It means the world to me and the families to have their stories shared by such a treasured institution amongst our people. MIL GRACIAS A TODOS🇵🇷🙏🏽❤️
It’s been an absolute honor and all together humbling experience to be collaborating with now my dear friends @remainsarchive on my latest body of work The Fires. Their work like mine deals in grief. How it seen, spoken of, and cared for. How do we begin to understand something as profound as grief? Like all fruitful things, it needs to be given space to grow. To be reckoned with. All the things that circle. The things that are scary and can at times make me feel so alone can finally have a home to come back to. To check in to. To feel safe in. I’m eternally grateful for this platform where all the stories of things lost can now be found. WE OUT HERE ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 @kevinahsen@cookingismysport@yofiggy@electricmarronage@dslprojects

inside water there is fire

somebody was fooling you

Now on view online; Topographies of Self @griffinmuseum
.
Now on view from March 1 - March 31, 2026.
Topographies of Self features works from 65 artists examining our multilayered connection to place through photographic portraiture.
Selected from over 240 global submissions, the works challenge, intertwine, and even mystify ideas of identity through location.
Together, they bring people into close proximity and friction with the cultural codes and personal mythologies that characterize our understanding of (a) place.
A gesture, a message in the face of violence. An image I made in Istanbul, October, 2025 that is much clearer now. Action in solidarity rooted in unwavering love is the way through terror. Love is the X that can never be bought or conquered. To all of those in the cold fighting for their neighbors, their loved ones, we see you, we thank you, we love you back🌹
A year in the making and finally my project site on The Hoboken Fires is live! This archive marks an unprecedented moment in the city’s history generated by the people who lived these times. Photos, oral histories, historical records and newly formed letters and essays all make this archive truly remarkable. Thank you to the many people who lent themselves to this project and the creation of the site. This is a living archive that I look forward to building in years to come. You can visit the site thru the link in my bio. Pa’lante! #hoboken #archive #documentary
